He is a Viltrumite, an alien from the planet Viltrum, and is presented initially as a benevolent superhero. He is the father of Mark Grayson, the titular Invincible.
Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man first appeared in the Amazon Prime Video animated series Invincible in 2021. J. K. Simmons provides the voice for the character in the adaptation.
The TV show expands on the comic book source material. While initially appearing as a powerful protector of Earth, his true mission is revealed to be conquest on behalf of the Viltrumite Empire.
